Shannons was created in the early 1970s as a specialist insurance provider for Australia’s Motoring Enthusiasts, run by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.

In addition to meeting the insurance needs of motoring enthusiasts, in 1981 Shannons introduced an Auction division and now conducts around eight auctions each year including two of Australia's biggest classic vehicle auctions, the prestigious Australian International Motor Show Auction in Sydney or its equivalent at the Melbourne International Motor Show. InsureMyRide is bike insurance for bike riders.

InsureMyRide is different. Unlike other insurance companies who take their basic car policy and simply re-badge it as bike insurance, InsureMyRide is built-from-the-ground-up bike insurance for bike riders.

That’s because they know what it’s like on the bike and they know what bike riders want from their bike insurance.
